BMW continues to make headway with its flagship ‘i’ range, with the specific model BMW i3 94Ah having recently won the “Best Electric Car of 2017” in the £20,000 – £40,000 category at the What Car? annual awards.
These are the UK motoring industry’s highest accolades, demonstrating just how far the BMW i concept has come since its establishment back in 2013.
The BMW i3 94Ah was appreciated for its 50% improvement on range between charges, more than the previous car. The maximum would be of 195 miles. Its specific characteristics are the interior quality, sustainable production values and usability. That’s despite its batteries not taking up any more space, and the i3 can still go from 0-62mph in a brisk 7.3 sec.
Its interior carbon fire is made of renewable energy. Its construction has parts of recycled materials. Therefore, the BMW i3 spearheads the carbon-free car market.
BMW regenerates energy in its ‘i’ models and makes its own carbonfibre using 100% wind-generated electricity. The result of all this innovative thinking is the BMW i3.
The usability of the BMW i3 now comes with direct current (DC) rapid charging as standard, allowing it to be fully charged in less than 3 hours. With a 0-62mph time of 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 93mph, the BMW i3 continues to make its mark on the electric car market.
< To blaze new trails you must dare to think differently. >
The BMW i3 is the top of the line of its class being an interesting car to travel in. The usual capacity of 4 will stay comfortable in their seats if there’s a long journey. Considering the fact that it has recycled materials inside, is not only environmentally conscious but also up to the premium standards the car’s price demands.
