The Fall Winter 2017/18 Collection of the Chloé brand is a special one, not because the spectacular items, but for being quite wanted for every fashionista out there, due to its versatility.
The Creative Designer of the Maison Chloe is Clare Waight Keller who always managed to use good references as a source of inspiration. Because she announced that she is leaving the Chloe brand, she wanted to make things differently, therefore, this time she exposed her vision for iconic stars from the movie industry and music industry of the ’60s and ’70s.
Her collection is nostalgic, vintage but so modern and cool. She wanted to design that “french-chic” fashion style of Jane Birkin or Marianne Evelyn Gabriel Faithfull (she attented the show).
The Fall Winter 2017/18 Womenswear Collection displayed at Paris Fashion Week 2017, was an optimistic one, because the designer wanted to get close to the street style, quite a colored one we might say.
The collection didn’t had graphic designs, as expected, but displayed vibrant colors, while the design was pragmatic and delicate due to the poppy print and opium print.
The Chloé brand is well known for that boho chic looks. This one was different, with mini straight cut dresses, like in the ’60s. There were vibrant colors here and there – mustard, yellow, red, electric blue, turquoise and mauve – slip-dresses and lace. There were also fur jackets and oversize blazers, large kind of pants and a new cut for the jumpsuits.
The main purpose was to highlight the shoulders and the waist.
