The Fall Winter 2017 Fashion Trends from London Fashion Week - Fashion Worldwide

London Fashion Week took place in UK – of course – on 16th February – 21st February 2017. Due to this event, the Fall Winter 2017 Fashion Trends are brought into our attention straight from the runway. Even though we have the summer season on our mind, on the runway we can see the models wearing cozy sweaters.

Here are the most wanted 2017 London Fashion Week’s Fashion Trends we could observe!

#1. Velvet is back on

It’s confirmed! As we told you in the previous article, velvet is back ON during the cold season. This time, it’s especially designed in an exotic cut with volume parts and artistic asymmetric designs. The interesting parts are the shades chosen by the designers. Instead of navy or black, we can see spicy colored details or different shades of the same color.

#2. Autumn flowers?

The floral print is not only for Spring Summer 2017 Season as we initially thought. This time, designers go even further on glittering the floral maxi dresses. They make them even more feminine and interesting for the Fall Winter Season.

It’s a classic and it’s everywhere. This time, red is the favorite color to wear. They are meant to be daring and accomplish every imagination with it’s simple intensity. Pull out from your wardrobe every red clothing item you got!

#4. Transparency

Transparency was the keyword at New York Fashion Week and continued to be huge for London as well. The female beauty is shown with ease, and the bare body is to be shown concentrating on the open heart and soul more so than the bodies themselves.

#5. Big pockets

Gaping pouches and spotlighted pockets were all the rage on the London Fashion Week stage. They appeared off to the side on trousers, over the chest on silky plunge-neck shirts, and simply all over on long coats.

#6. Cartoon Characters

Quite a surprise there! This season we seem to find cartoons on our clothing items. From Woody Woodpecker sweaters to velvet Fantasia scene blazers, or Mulan based skirts as per Fashion East, cartoon characters seem to make an entrance on our closets.

#7. Volume. Volume. Volume.

The oversized trend continues to make the appearance on the runways. Large sweaters and maxi shirts were all over the place at London Fashion Week. Bell or buffed, batwing or bishop, tiered or trumpet, many of the top designers chose the maximum volume when it came to adding on the long sleeves to their creations.

#8. The color block is back ON!

While supermodels love black and street style fashionistas love beige and camel, for the past seasons, the actual colors are the IT thing to have. So, the vibrant colors are not a tabu subject anymore. The fashion during this year’s cold season is getting bolder. See the Mulberry collection and prepare to be stunned.

#9. The duvet coat

The daring duvet coat was the highlight of the show. Bubble coats aside, these bring to us something more akin to wearing a duvet. Daring details: extra-long sleeves, matching pants underneath, wrapped up coats.

#11. Fur

Long coats are in as we have pointed out, and long fur coats with special adornments are even more of an attraction during the fall 2017 season. Colored fur coats and big broaches are the it factor of the designers Isa Arfen, Erdem, Toga. Maru Katrantzou and Simone Rocha.
