#1. Parsons School of Arts and Design

Parsons Schools of Arts and Design has offered students innovative approaches to education since its founding in 1896. Today, it’s the only American art and design school within a comprehensive university. Offering programs in fashion design, fashion studies and fashion marketing, many of the most famous designers we currently know were graduates here: Tom Ford, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and Jason Wu. The tuition costs US$39.280 per year and there are over 4.000 undergraduates enrolled.

Parsons also has a strong focus on maintaining relationships with its past students. This has led to the school holding critiques and workshops with Donna Karan and the Proenza Schouler duo. Year after year, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) celebrates Parsons’ faculty and graduates. Alumni panels, symposia, and guest lectureships on campus invite industry leaders to share their experience, insights, and contacts.
